Onoja Raises Alarm Over Insecurity Threat to Ogbadibo’s Development

Security expert and researcher, Comrade Jonathan Onoja, has warned that the worsening security situation in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State could undermine the development gains recorded in the area, CSONews24 reports.

Onoja raised the concern while highlighting the impact of insecurity on the socio-economic development of the local government.

He stressed that sustained insecurity could disrupt economic activities, affect residents’ livelihoods and weaken ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and living conditions across Ogbadibo.

“No meaningful development can be sustained in an atmosphere of insecurity.” He said.

According to him, development cannot be sustained in an environment where residents and businesses remain vulnerable to security threats.

Onoja therefore called for stronger and coordinated security measures to protect lives and property, while urging relevant authorities and community stakeholders to work together towards restoring lasting peace.

“As Ogbadibo LGA celebrates 35 years of existence, it must look to the future with both pride and purpose. The achievements of the past must be secured by the actions of today.

“Peace is not the sole responsibility of government or security agencies. It is the business of every citizen.” Onoja said.

He maintained that addressing insecurity should remain a priority if Ogbadibo is to consolidate its development progress and create a safer environment for residents to thrive.
