Joe Igbokwe Accuses Makinde of Mishandling Oyo Abduction Crisis

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has criticised Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde over the recent abduction of a secondary school principal in the state, saying the governor has brought embarrassment upon himself through his handling of the incident.

Igbokwe made the remarks in a post on his Facebook page while reacting to the kidnapping, which has sparked concerns over the security situation in Oyo State.

According to him, the incident contradicts claims that the state remains secure under the Makinde administration, arguing that the governor’s handling of security issues has fallen short of public expectations.

The APC advocate maintained that the abduction reflects the growing security challenges facing the state and urged the Oyo State Government to intensify efforts to protect residents and prevent similar incidents.

His comments come amid public concern over rising cases of kidnapping and other violent crimes in parts of Oyo State, with renewed calls for stronger security measures to safeguard lives and property.
