Gombe-Led ADC Demands Immediate Removal of Mark-Led NWC From INEC Portal

The National Executive Committee (NEC) faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by Nafiu Bala has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately remove the David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC) from its official portal.

The faction argued that the recognition of the Mark-led leadership does not reflect the party’s lawful structure and urged the electoral commission to correct what it described as an irregularity without delay.

It also warned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar against interfering in the party’s internal affairs, insisting that only duly constituted organs of the ADC have the authority to determine its leadership.

The Bala-led faction maintained that it remains the legitimate leadership of the party and urged INEC to uphold due process by recognising only officials elected in line with the ADC constitution.

The development marks the latest twist in the leadership crisis within the opposition party, as rival factions continue to battle for control ahead of the 2027 general elections.
