Kennedy Boboye will take charge of Edo Queens as the Nigerian champions begin their campaign at the 2026 WAFU B Women’s Champions League in Burkina Faso.
Boboye will serve as interim coach in the absence of the club’s substantive head coach, Moses Aduku, who is away on national duty with the Falconets ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
Edo Queens have been drawn in Group B alongside ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa FC and AS Garde of Niger Republic.
The Nigerian champions will be seeking a second WAFU B title after winning the regional competition on their debut in 2024.
The tournament, which serves as the qualifying competition for the CAF Women’s Champions League, is scheduled to take place in Burkina Faso from August 23 to September 5, 2026.
Boboye brings extensive coaching experience to the team as Edo Queens begin their bid to secure another continental qualification.
