Osun 2026: Adeleke Urges Unity, Condoles Families of Electoral Violence Victims

Governor Ademola Adeleke, Osun State

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called for unity and healing across the state following his re-election, while expressing condolences to families who lost loved ones to electoral violence ahead of the poll.

Adeleke made the appeal in a message shared on his official page after securing another term in office, thanking residents for renewing their confidence in his administration.

The governor described the outcome of the election as a collective victory and said he accepted the fresh mandate with humility and a strong sense of responsibility.

“This victory belongs to all of us, and I accept this renewed mandate with humility and a deep sense of responsibility,” Adeleke said.

While celebrating the electoral victory, Adeleke also acknowledged the lives lost during incidents of violence preceding the election.

He extended his sympathy to the affected families and loved ones, urging the state to remember the victims even as it moves forward.

“As we celebrate, we also remember the victims of electoral violence before the election. My heartfelt condolences go to their families and loved ones,” he said.

The governor expressed appreciation to traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, civil servants, pensioners, youths, women, artisans, traders, farmers and other residents for their support during the election.

He urged residents to move beyond the divisions associated with the electoral contest and redirect their attention towards the collective development of the state.

“Together, let us heal, unite and continue building a greater Osun,” the governor added.
