The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has unveiled its candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party made the announcement in a statement issued on Monday by its Publicity Secretary, Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, calling on residents across the state to familiarise themselves with the candidates and support the party ahead of the polls.
The lineup covers all three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies and the 26 State House of Assembly constituencies in Osun.
For the Senate, Akeem Olaoye will contest the Osun Central Senatorial District, while Senator Adelere Oriolowo is the candidate for Osun West. Babatunde Olaniyi Loye will fly the party’s flag in Osun East.
At the House of Representatives level, Akinlabi Olusegun will contest Ifedayo/Ila/Boluwaduro Federal Constituency, while Barrister Olayinka Oyefusi will represent the party in Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin.
Taofeek Arogundade is the candidate for Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun, with Tajudeen Ajagbe contesting Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency.
Gbenga Ogunkanmi will contest Iwo/Olaoluwa/Ayedire, while Bolarinwa Ibraheem is the candidate for Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency.
The remaining House of Representatives candidates are Sikiru Ayedun for Ife North/Ife East/Ife Central/Ife South, Olowu Sunday for Obokun/Oriade and Ajibola E. Oladimeji for Ijesa South Federal Constituency.
ADC Lists 26 Assembly Candidates
The party also released its candidates for all 26 State House of Assembly constituencies.
Among them are Akanbi Kehinde Joshua for Ifedayo, Oyedotun Olalekan for Ila, Oyetola Kayode for Boluwaduro and Wahab Kazeem O. for Ifelodun.
Others include Oluyemisi Titilayo A. for Odo-Otin, Muhammed Ismail A. for Orolu/Irepodun, Lateef Mumini Abayomi for Olorunda, Tiamiyu Idris for Osogbo and Hammed Sakirat Adefunke for Ede North.
Akanni Saburi A. will contest Ede South, Oyewumi Naheem Alani will contest Egbedore, while Akinyemi Philip is the candidate for Ejigbo. Adigun Adekunle M. will contest Iwo, with Opadola Abdullahi M. for Olaoluwa and Ogunrinu Oguntunji A. for Ayedire.
The list continues with Olaniyi Sariat for Ayedaade and Najeem Sunday for Isokan/Irewole.
For the Ife axis, the ADC fielded Oyeniyi Isaac Kolawole for Ife North, Omisakin Mojred for Ife East, Ayodeji Oluwaseyi E. for Ife Central and Gbamilá Jacob for Ife South.
Omole Mathew Oluseye will contest Ilesa West, while Olayiwola Olalekan O. is the candidate for Ilesa East. Olanrewaju Samuel will contest Atakumosa East/West, with Oginni Gideon for Oriade and Bakare Kayode for Obokun.
The party expressed confidence in its candidates and said they would provide an alternative for voters seeking improved representation and leadership.
The party said: “We express confidence that our candidates represent a new opportunity for quality representation, purposeful leadership and a stronger democratic future for the people of Osun State.”
