The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has partnered with Techico Resource Solutions Limited to support education in Warri, Delta State, through the Board’s Back-to-Creek Initiative.
The partnership is aimed at improving educational opportunities in underserved communities by strengthening school infrastructure, developing human capacity and exposing students to skills relevant to the modern economy.
The official handover and distribution ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Ubuwangue Secondary School, Warri.
The Back-to-Creek Initiative is part of NCDMB’s human capital development strategy, with a focus on improving basic and secondary education, promoting STEM and digital learning, and creating opportunities for young people in oil-producing communities.
Speaking ahead of the event, Joy Bassey, Business Manager, Techico Resource Solutions Limited, said the initiative was driven by the belief that meaningful impact begins with responding to the needs of communities.
“Education remains one of the most important investments we can make in the future of our young people. Through Back to Creek, we are pleased to work with NCDMB to provide practical support that can make a difference in the everyday learning experience of students and teachers at Ubuwangue Secondary School.” She stated
The programme also seeks to identify and nurture promising students while supporting teachers and improving learning conditions.
NCDMB has said the initiative is designed to extend the benefits of Nigerian content development beyond the oil and gas industry by investing in communities and preparing young people with relevant skills for future employment.
The collaboration with Techico Resource Solutions is expected to strengthen the initiative’s impact in Warri and contribute to the development of education and local talent in the area.
