JAMB Reopens NIN Alignment Service for Candidates to Rectify Biodata Errors

JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reopened its National Identification Number (NIN) Alignment Service, giving eligible candidates another opportunity to resolve errors and discrepancies in their personal records.

The initiative, implemented in collaboration with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), enables candidates to align their biodata with the information captured in their national identity records.

JAMB has urged applicants to ensure that any necessary corrections are made through NIMC before initiating the alignment process. Candidates have also been advised to carefully verify the details they intend to update before submitting their applications to avoid further discrepancies.

The examination body cautioned that access to the service does not guarantee approval of every request, emphasising the need for candidates to comply with the stipulated requirements.

“This is a one-time opportunity, and approval is not automatic,” JAMB stated.
