Anambra Woman Allegedly Made $300 From Sexual Abuse Content of Biological Daughters

A 36-year-old woman, Anulika Onyeanusia, arrested in Onitsha, Anambra State, over the alleged sexual abuse of her daughters and production of sexual content involving them, has pleaded for forgiveness, saying her actions were “the handiwork of the devil.”

Onyeanusia was arrested following the circulation of a disturbing livestream allegedly showing the sexual abuse of a child. The incident sparked widespread outrage and prompted calls for authorities to intervene and protect the minors.

During preliminary investigations, the suspect allegedly admitted making money from the sexual content, saying the highest amount she received was $300 from a foreigner.

“It was the handiwork of the devil. I am sorry, forgive me,” she was quoted as saying.

“The highest I’ve made is $300. It was one American guy that was paying me to do it, sometimes $100, sometimes $300.”

The suspect also allegedly claimed that her husband was unaware of what she had been doing to their two daughters.

The Anambra State Police Command said the arrest led to the rescue of four children, aged two, three, six and nine, as well as the recovery of sex toys and other items considered relevant to the investigation.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, the command said Onyeanusia remained in police custody while investigators worked to establish the full circumstances surrounding the alleged offences and determine whether other individuals were involved.

“The suspect is currently in police custody as the command intensifies its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged offence and the possible involvement of other persons,” the statement said.

The police added that the woman’s husband was also being interrogated to establish whether he had any connection with the alleged offences.

The command said the investigation was ongoing, with efforts focused on establishing the extent of the alleged abuse and identifying any other persons who may have participated in or facilitated the production or distribution of the illicit material.
