Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has appointed the chairman of the State Unversal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Dr Nureni Adeniran, as his presidential campaign coordinator for the All Progressives Movement (APM) ahead of the 2027 general election.
The chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) will also lead the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship campaign in Oyo State. This was stated on Wednesday in Ibadan by Dr. Suleimon Olanrewaju, who serves as Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media.
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has nominated Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi as their candidate for the 2027 governorship election. Adekanmbi is a former Commissioner for Finance, having served in that role during the administration of the late ex-Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
Other members of the council, the statement said, include Mr Saheed Arowosaye, a former Chairman, Oyo East LG, who will serve as the deputy coordinator, and the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr Demola Ojo, who will serve as deputy D-G (South).
Olanrewaju said that Makinde, the APM presidential candidate, would inaugurate the council on Friday at the conference room of the governor’s office.
