Troops, NDLEA Arrest 11 Suspected Drug Peddlers in Yobe

Troops of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Potiskum, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested 11 suspected drug peddlers during a joint operation in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 2 p.m. on October 5, 2026, following a coordinated raid on Ganda, Wudil and Degubi Bare Bari communities in the LGA.

The joint team apprehended 11 suspects and recovered suspected illicit substances, including cannabis, Tramadol capsules, Diazepam and Exol tablets.

The suspects and recovered items were subsequently handed over to the NDLEA office in Potiskum for further investigation and appropriate legal action.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts by security and law-enforcement agencies to disrupt illicit drug trafficking and prevent the circulation of controlled substances in the North-East.
