Turkish Super Lig club Çaykur Rizespor has identified Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi as a potential target as the club seeks to strengthen its attack ahead of the new season.
Rizespor is reportedly searching for a new striker and has placed the Nottingham Forest forward among its options.
Awoniyi endured an injury-hit 2025/26 campaign, making 17 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist. His limited playing time has raised questions over his future at Forest.
The Nigerian striker remains under contract with the Premier League club until June 2027, meaning any potential move would require an agreement between the two clubs.
Rizespor is also considering reinforcements in other areas as it prepares for the new campaign.
However, the reported interest in Awoniyi remains at an exploratory stage, with no agreement or formal transfer fee confirmed.
