The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board ,JAMB, has extended the deadline for candidates offered admission from 2021 to 2026 to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers.
The new deadline is Wednesday, September 30, 2026, replacing the earlier deadline of August 31.
JAMB said the extension provides a final opportunity for affected candidates, including those with regular and CUIIA admission offers, to indicate their decisions.
Candidates who accept their offers will be able to print their admission letters, while those who reject them will have their admission status reverted to “Not Admitted.”
The board advised candidates who are no longer studying at the institutions where they were previously offered admission to take the necessary steps to regularise their records.
JAMB also clarified that candidates who have secured admission in the 2026 admission exercise but still have an earlier outstanding offer can reject the previous offer without affecting their new admission.
The board warned that there would be no further extension after September 30. Any outstanding admission offer from 2021 to date that remains neither accepted nor rejected will automatically revert to “Not Admitted.”
“There will be no further opportunity after the expiration of the extended deadline on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.” The Board stated.
JAMB therefore urged all affected candidates to take action before the deadline.
