Lagos State lawmaker and Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot, has been spotted on a movie set days after losing the All Progressives Congress primary election for Surulere Constituency I ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Photographs circulating on social media showed Elliot alongside fellow Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, at what appeared to be a film production location.
The two actors were seen together and engaged in conversation during the production.Elliot’s appearance on the set has sparked reactions from fans and social media users, with some expressing excitement at the prospect of seeing the actor return to the screen after several years in active politics.
The development comes shortly after Elliot lost the APC primary for the Surulere Constituency I seat. The three-term lawmaker was defeated by Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who secured the majority of votes to emerge as the party’s candidate for the constituency.
Before venturing into politics, Elliot established himself as a prominent Nollywood actor, featuring in numerous Nigerian films and television productions.
His latest appearance on a movie set has consequently fuelled speculation that he may be returning to acting following his defeat in the APC primary.
However, Elliot has yet to publicly confirm whether his appearance marks a full return to Nollywood or whether he intends to combine filmmaking with his remaining political activities.
For now, his presence on the set has renewed interest in the actor’s career and prompted speculation about his next move after the APC primary.
