Davido Reacts as Burna Boy Takes Delivery of Reported ₦9bn Customised Bugatti Chiron

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to a video showing fellow Nigerian singer Burna Boy taking delivery of a customised Bugatti Chiron reportedly valued at about ₦9 billion.

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, received the one-of-a-kind hypercar during a ceremony in Lagos, with footage of the unveiling subsequently generating significant attention on social media.

The vehicle was reportedly customised by Venuum, a Dubai-based luxury automobile customisation company. The company described the Bugatti Chiron VXX as a unique creation designed specifically to reflect Burna Boy’s identity.

The customised vehicle features a French Racing Blue front fascia, Bugatti’s signature horseshoe grille, a yellow number seven and a racing stripe inspired by the French tricolour.

Its interior also received extensive customisation, including blue sport seats, yellow contrast stitching and a gold-threaded grid pattern.

Venuum shared footage of the unveiling on its Instagram page, showing two presenters removing a black cover from the vehicle as Burna Boy watched.

The company wrote that it was proud to see the singer receive the “one-of-a-kind Bugatti Chiron VXX”, adding that the car was created to stand apart through its character, presence and distinctive identity.

The reported purchase was said to have been facilitated by Sadiq Aminu Gaidam, chief executive of Abuja Car, a luxury automobile dealership.

Davido reacts

The unveiling video soon circulated widely across social media and caught the attention of Davido.

An Instagram account, @theboyfromojo, shared footage of Burna Boy receiving the vehicle, which Davido reportedly acknowledged by liking the post.

Although the gesture was brief, it attracted attention from fans, given the long-standing public interest in the relationship and rivalry between two of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars.

The reported ₦9 billion price tag has also generated considerable discussion online, particularly over the car’s bespoke design and its place among high-value automobiles owned by African celebrities.

Davido’s luxury garage

The development comes shortly after Davido disclosed details of his own luxury car collection.

The singer said his garage includes three Rolls-Royces, two Lamborghinis and three Mercedes-Maybachs, giving him a total of eight luxury vehicles.

Davido also said he planned to stop buying cars for the remainder of 2026 as he focuses on his reported $70 million property project in Eko Atlantic, Lagos.

The Burna Boy Bugatti, meanwhile, has continued to attract attention online following its Lagos unveiling.
