Burna Boy Takes Delivery of ₦9bn Customised Bugatti Chiron VXX

Nigerian Afrobeats star Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has taken delivery of a customised Bugatti Chiron VXX, reportedly valued at about ₦9 billion.

The bespoke hypercar was unveiled in Lagos on Saturday by Venuum, a Dubai-based luxury vehicle customisation company that shared footage of the presentation on its Instagram page.

In the video, Burna Boy was seen at the unveiling as two presenters removed a black covering to reveal the specially customised vehicle.

Venuum said the Chiron VXX was created specifically for the Grammy-winning singer, describing it as a one-off project designed to reflect his personality and identity.

“Today, Lagos welcomes something truly unique,” the company said.

“We’re proud to see @burnaboygram receive his one-of-a-kind Bugatti Chiron VXX — a piece created to stand apart, built with character, presence and an unmistakable identity.”

The company added, “From Dubai to Lagos. A unique creation for a unique artist. Welcome to the VXX experience.”

The vehicle features a French Racing Blue finish on its front section, complemented by Bugatti’s distinctive horseshoe grille. A prominent yellow number seven is positioned on the grille, while a central racing stripe incorporates the colours of the French flag.

The bespoke treatment extends to the interior, which features blue seats with yellow stitching and a gold-threaded grid pattern incorporated into the design.

Venuum had earlier announced in May that it was developing a carbon-fibre widebody kit for Burna Boy’s Chiron, describing the project as a one-off Bugatti build.

The singer had also previously expressed his desire for a highly customised Chiron, saying he wanted a “Bugatti Venuum Chiron, something one of one.”

Although the vehicle has been widely reported to be worth about ₦9 billion, the actual amount paid by Burna Boy has not been independently confirmed. Abuja Car, the dealership involved in the transaction, has also referenced the ₦9 billion figure.

The latest acquisition adds to Burna Boy’s reported collection of luxury automobiles, which includes a Lamborghini Revuelto and Rolls-Royce Spectre.

For context, Bugatti listed the base price of a standard 2020 Chiron at about $2.998 million, inclusive of shipping, duties, taxes and other charges.

Given its bespoke nature and extensive exterior and interior modifications, the VXX is expected to command a significantly higher value than the standard Chiron.

The customised Bugatti further underscores Burna Boy’s growing association with high-end luxury automobiles and bespoke lifestyle products.
