BBNaija Season 11: Martins Iyeh Becomes First Housemate Evicted
Martins Iyeh has become the first housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 reality show, leaving the competition after two weeks.
The 30-year-old visual storyteller and model from Kogi State was evicted during Sunday night’s live show following viewers’ votes.
Martins was among the 24 housemates introduced when the 11th season of the reality show premiered on July 26. The season, themed “Everything Is For The Taking” and also known as “Show Ya Sef,” has a N160m prize package, including N100m in cash and an SUV.
A creative director, visual storyteller and model, Martins entered the competition hoping to showcase his personality and creativity to a wider audience. He also listed basketball among his interests and jokingly identified mind-reading as one of his hidden talents.
During his introduction, Martins told viewers that his primary objective was to enjoy the experience and make the most of his time in the house.
“I came here to have fun,” he said.
During his brief stay, Martins bonded with other housemates and participated in the social interactions and activities that shaped the early dynamics of the competition.
His birthday was also celebrated in the house shortly after the season’s launch, with fellow contestants organising a special gathering for him. Mercedes performed during the celebration, while other housemates offered prayers and goodwill messages.
His eviction followed the second week of nominations, which saw 16 housemates placed up for possible eviction. Head of House Sheba had earlier saved Chimsom Chuka, while Aikou and Flora remained protected as the season’s Gambits.
The season has featured a series of twists as housemates compete in weekly tasks, nominations and alliances while seeking to remain in contention for the N160m grand prize.
With Martins’ departure, 23 housemates remain in the race for the Season 11 crown.
