An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kebbi State, Adamu Yahaya, popularly known as Adam Fakai, has announced his decision to stop supporting and promoting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing what he described as a lack of recognition from party leaders.
Fakai, in a statement, said he had spent more than two years using his personal resources, time and energy to showcase Federal Government projects and policies across Nigeria because of his belief in the President’s leadership vision and development agenda.
He, however, expressed disappointment that despite his efforts in publicising the administration’s achievements, he did not receive encouragement or support from APC leaders at both the state and federal levels.
The Kebbi APC chieftain alleged that some political figures used photographs, videos and reports of government projects he documented without acknowledging his contributions or making contact with him.
Fakai said the experience informed his decision to discontinue his advocacy for the Tinubu administration, adding that he felt his efforts may have received better recognition if he belonged to another state.
While announcing his withdrawal, he appreciated individuals who supported and encouraged him during his period of promoting the government’s programmes.
Fakai became widely recognised on social media for visiting Federal Government project sites across the country and sharing visual reports highlighting infrastructure and development initiatives of the Tinubu administration.
His decision adds a new dimension to ongoing political conversations within the APC as stakeholders begin positioning ahead of the 2027 elections.
