Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to the arrival of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and several All Progressives Congress ,APC, governors in Osogbo ahead of Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.
According to CSONews24, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and several APC governors are currently in Osun to take part in a rally ahead of the Saturday election.
More than 10 APC governors and other senior party officials converged on the state capital for the party’s final mega rally as the APC intensified its campaign for the August 15 poll.
Reacting to a post by former Osun State Governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, welcoming the APC leaders to the state, Davido questioned whether the gathering would change the outcome of the election.
The singer, who has openly supported his uncle and incumbent Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, used a biblical reference to mock the number of APC leaders and governors gathered for the campaign.
“If you like gather Jesus 12 disciples o ma LULE for the 3rd time.” The singer wrote.
Davido maintained his prediction that the APC would suffer another defeat in the state, despite the presence of its national leaders and governors.
The development comes as the two major political camps intensify their final mobilisation ahead of the governorship election, with parties seeking to secure voters across the state.
