GUIDELINES: How to Upload O’Level Results on JAMB Portal From Home
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new arrangement allowing candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results from home without visiting a Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre.
The development was announced on Monday by JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, who said the initiative would enable the Board to verify candidates’ results directly with the examination bodies that issued them.
The process currently begins with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), with other examination bodies expected to be integrated into the system.
Under the new arrangement, candidates can initiate the verification and upload of their O’Level results remotely, while JAMB validates the results against records held by the relevant examination bodies.
Benjamin said the initiative was part of the Board’s efforts to make its services more efficient, accessible and convenient for candidates.
He explained that the technology-driven process would reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual procedures associated with O’Level result uploads.
The new system is also expected to minimise problems such as misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent certificates, and errors in manually entering subjects and grades.
Through the integration of JAMB’s e-Facility platform with examination bodies, candidates’ results can be verified against official records before being uploaded to their profiles.
How to Verify O’Level Results
Candidates are required to obtain a result verification code by visiting the designated result verification platform and providing their National Identification Number (NIN).
They are then expected to select the number of examination sittings and the relevant examination body or bodies, provide their email address and GSM number, and make the required payment using a debit card or bank transfer.
After payment, candidates must enter their examination details, including examination number, examination series and examination year, to verify their results and obtain a Verification Code.
How to Upload the Verified Results
After obtaining the Verification Code, candidates should send “VERIFY” followed by the Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.
JAMB said the result would subsequently be uploaded and the candidate would receive a notification.
Candidates with two examination sittings will be required to log into their JAMB e-Facility profiles and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload” from the dashboard.
They will then enter their Verification Code, after which their two verified results will be displayed.
Candidates are required to select the relevant subjects from the displayed results, with a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects allowed. No subject should be selected more than once.
The process is completed by clicking “Apply the O’Level Results,” after which a notification will be issued confirming successful submission.
According to JAMB, the arrangement will provide candidates with a more convenient alternative, particularly during periods of heavy patronage and network difficulties at CBT centres.
Benjamin said the initiative reflected the commitment of JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to improving customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery.
He added that the Board would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to simplify its processes and make services safer and more accessible to candidates.
