Deliver your wards to Tinubu or else… — Gov Radda tells APC leaders

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, has warned politicians and political office holders in the state to ensure that they deliver their polling units to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in the 2027 general elections.

Radda issued the warning on Saturday during the inauguration of the APC Tinubu/Radda 2027 Campaign Council at the party’s new multi-million-naira headquarters in Katsina.

The governor said the era of collecting and spending money without taking action was over, urging politicians to work towards delivering their polling units to APC candidates across all levels.

“We are watching every step you make; we are monitoring your efforts and your worth in your locality. If you fail to deliver your polling station for APC, you should blame yourself for the consequences,” Radda warned.

He said the party must work to ensure that Tinubu secures Katsina State’s votes in the forthcoming elections, adding that it would be catastrophic for other contestants if the APC lost the presidential election, which he described as the first major electoral contest.

Radda said his administration was committed to securing overwhelming support for the president, citing the longstanding cordial relationship between the people of Katsina State and Tinubu. He identified the late Shehu Yar’Adua as a leading figure in that relationship.

According to the governor, Tinubu has maintained a longstanding commitment to the state’s development and political growth, particularly through key federal appointments and developmental support.

Radda also appealed to the people of Katsina to forgive him for his shortcomings and urged APC supporters to forgive one another.

“We must forgive one another if we want to succeed,” Radda said.

The governor dismissed speculation that some party stalwarts were planning to remove certain candidates, describing the claims as speculation and lies.

“I am happy and confident seeing the caliber of people who attended the campaign council.

The campaign council will be chaired by Radda, with Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal as co-chairman and Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa as director-general.
