APC Celebrates Yilwatda @ 58, Hails Leadership Drive
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated its National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday, commending his leadership and contributions to the growth and consolidation of the party.
The party, in a statement issued on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said Yilwatda had demonstrated “forthright and inclusive leadership” since assuming office as National Chairman.
The APC National Working Committee (NWC) said the National Chairman’s tenure had strengthened internal democracy, deepened party unity and enhanced the institutional capacity of the ruling party.
According to the statement, one of the major achievements under Yilwatda’s leadership was the successful implementation of the party’s electronic membership registration exercise, which it said had expanded the APC’s membership base.
The party described the development as part of efforts to consolidate its position as Nigeria’s largest political party, while strengthening its structures ahead of future electoral contests.
The NWC also said Yilwatda had continued to align the party’s activities with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a focus on sustained electoral success, democratic values, good governance and national development.
“Since assuming office, Professor Yilwatda has provided forthright and inclusive leadership that has strengthened the APC’s internal democracy, deepened Party unity and enhanced its institutional capacity,” the statement said.
The APC leadership expressed appreciation to God for the National Chairman’s life, describing his 58th birthday as an opportunity to celebrate a year of purposeful leadership, accomplishments and dedication to the party and the country.
The party extended its congratulations to Yilwatda on behalf of the NWC, National Executive Committee, leaders, members and supporters of the APC in Nigeria and abroad.
It also prayed for the National Chairman to enjoy many more years of sound health, wisdom, strength and divine grace as he continues to lead the party.
“Happy 58th Birthday Anniversary, Mr Chairman!” the statement added.
